George
"Butch" Padamonsky (1982-86)
Butch wrestled three
years varsity with Centennial League championship teams.
He was undefeated as a freshman on the Junior Varsity team.
George was a two time Christmas Tournament champ.
In 1985, he was a Southeast Regional champ and he placed sixth in
the State Tournament. In
1986, George was a Centennial League champ, a District XI champ and he
wrestled to a third place finish in the State Tournament, losing only to
the wrestler who would eventually be named "Most Outstanding
Wrestler" in that AA State Tournament.
His PIAA career record was 69-20-3.
Butch attended Hofstra University, Long Island, where he was
awarded a wrestling scholarship and majored in engineering.
