1981-1982
1981-82 The Tigers had a
league record of 5-3 and an overall record of 6-10. Highlights of the year included a victory over Centennial
League rival Notre Dame, a foe the Tigers had not beaten in four years,
an exciting25-24 victory over Colonial rival Southern Lehigh.
Individual stars for the Tigers included freshman Tim Erkinger,
who won the league championship at the 94lb weight class and sophomore
Tim Kelchner, who won a league championship at the 132lb. Weight class.
Senior Tom Erkinger and sophomore Jason Grantham also gave fine
accounts of themselves in taking second place and finished in the League
championships at the 138lb. and 185 lb. weight classes, respectively.
Senior Mike Bagedstose, because of his hustle and determination,
was named the team's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
