2008-2009
| The 2008-2009 season featured a new
head coach. Brad Kleckner took over the program after
being an assistant in the program for four years. Coach
Duran Porrino, who was an assistant on the Junior high level for
a year, moved up to take over the assistant coaching
duties. The Tigers started the season at the Nazareth
Invitational where they were very successful. Lucas
Dise(103), Evan Yenolevich(125), and Ricky Williams(135) all
came out with a 1st place finish. The Tiger also saw Eddie
Faust(119) place 2nd, Jake Moyer(140) place 3rd, Eddie
Keichel(145) come in at 3rd, and Kyle Sorenson(160) place
3rd. The Tigers Finished 4th in team points. The
08-09 Colonial League race was as close as ever. The
Tigers fell short in a few close matches, putting them out of
the running, but had them ready for the post-season to
begin. The Tigers went into the District XI with 3
returning District XI Champions. Evan Yenolevich(125) and
Ricky Williams(135) found their way back to the finals.
Evan captured his 4th District Title, getting his 160th win and
100th career pin on the way! Ricky fell short in the
final, taking home the silver. Dylan Long(103) placed 4th
and Eddie Faust(112) placed 3rd. So, the Tigers move
on to Regionals with 4 qualifiers. Evan Yenolevich took
home his 3rd Regional Gold, while Dylan Long and Ricky Williams
placed 3rd and 5th respectively. Out in Hershey,
Evan found himself in the State Finals for the third consecutive
year. After coming up short the 2 previous years, Evan
became the 8th State Champion in NWL history with a 7-4
decision! Dylan Long was the Tigers' other PIAA Medallist,
placing 7th in his weight class. The Tigers finished the
State Tournament as the highest scoring District XI
Team!
