Bryan Klass (H.S Head Coach)

Coach Klass enters his fifth season as a Tiger and first season as the Tigers head Coach.  Coach Klass is a 1997 graduate of Wilson Area High School where he had an outstanding career.  Coach Klass was a four-time state qualifier and a two-time District and Regional Champion.  In 1997, Bryan became Wilson's sixth State Champion.  Coach Klass is currently Wilson's second winning wrestler with 131 career wins.  In his senior year, coach Klass was selected to the Dapper Dan all-star wrestling classic.  (This is an all-star meet between the best senior wrestler at each weight in PA vs. the best senior wrestler at each weight in the United States).  Bryan was inducted into Wilson Wrestling Hall of Fame in December 2001. Coach Klass continued his wrestling career at Delaware Valley College where he excelled in both the classroom and in wrestling.  He was a three-time national qualifier and a two-time All-American.  Coach Klass was a three-time MAC champion.  Bryan was also a three-time Academic All-American and was named to Who's Who Among Colleges and Universities his junior and senior years.  Coach Klass graduated from Delaware Valley College with a degree in Business Education. Bryan recently graduated from Wilkes University with his masters degree in Educational Leadership.  Coach Klass is employed at NWL as a High School Teacher.

As a coach, Coach Klass was selected as the Pennsylvania Assistant Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year (2006 & 2007).  Coach Klass was voted the "District XI Assistant Coach of The Year" three out of the past four years ( 2004, 2006, and 2007).  In the 2007 season Coach Klass was honored as the "Co-Morning Call Coach of the Year."  For the fourth consecutive year, Coach Klass lead the Junior Varsity team to a District XI Title.

  • Has coached 11 state medallist, 2 State Champions, 9 Regional Champions, 22 Regional Place Winners, 13 District Champions, 50 District Place Winners, 3 High School All-Americans, while 9 wrestlers have reached the 100 win milestone and 1 wrestler has reached the 150 win mark.


Brad Kleckner (Assistant H.S Coach)

Coach Kleckner is entering his third season as a Tiger.  Coach Kleckner is a 1997 graduate and varsity wrestler of Pottsville High School.  Brad is a three-time Schuylkill League Champ capturing the Outstanding Wrestler award all three years.  Coach Kleckner is a four-time District XI AAA place winner and a District Finalist.  Coach Kleckner was a state qualifier holding a school record for the most wins with a high school career record of 103-21.  Brad continued his wrestling career at East Stroudsburg University where he was a two-year captain.  He was a three-time place winner at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.  Coach Kleckner was a place winner at the EIWA's.  Brad was also two-time Academic All Conference member.  In his Junior year Brad was selected as East Stroudsburg University's TOP TEN athletes in the school.  Coach Kleckner graduated ESU with a degree in Health and Physical Education.    

 

Brad is in his fourth year of teaching at Liberty High School in Bethlehem.  Brad is a newlywed married to Allison who is currently employed as a Special Education Teacher at William Allen High School.  They currently reside in Allentown.


James Moll (Junior High Head Coach)

Coach Moll is entering his first season as a Tiger and his first season as the head Junior High Coach.  Although this is Coach Moll’s first year coaching at NWL, this is not his first coaching experience.  Coach Moll is coming to Tiger Country from Wilson where he was an assistant on the varsity level for three years.  While at Wilson Coach Moll coached five District Champions, one Regional Champion, and eight State Qualifiers.  Four of which went on to earn a medal at Hershey.  Jimmy also coached a JV District Champion. 

Jimmy is a 1999 graduate of Wilson Area High School where he had an outstanding high school career.  He is a four-year letter winner while winning a District Title.  Coach Moll finished third in the Regional twice, qualifying him for states where he placed seventh.  Upon graduation Coach Moll attended Delaware Valley College where he was a three-year letter winner.  

Jimmy is currently teaching Technology Education at Northwestern Lehigh Middle School. 


Duran Porrino (Junior High/Varsity Assistan)

Coach Porrino is entering his first season with the Northwestern Lehigh Wrestling Team.  He is a 2002 graduate of Blue Mountain High School where he had a strong athletic career.  In wrestling he was a two time Schuylkill League Place-Winner and a Christmas City Tournament Champion.  While at Blue Mountain he was also apart of a very strong football program helping Blue Mountain earn Two District Championships and a District Runner-Up finish.  He also earned All-Area Offensive Player of the Year his senior year.

After high school Duran continued his athletic career at Wilkes University where he was a four-year member of the football team.  During those four years Wilkes made three playoff appearances earning an ECAC Championship, ECAC Runner-Up, and qualifying for the NCAA Playoffs.  He finished his career in the top 10 for Wilkes all-time career passing yards.

Duran is currently a math teacher at Northwestern Lehigh High School.  Along with being a wrestling coach, he also coaches football at Blue Mountain, who he helped to coach to a District 11 AAA Championship this past season.


Walter Frisch (J.H./Varsity Assistant Coach)

Coach Frisch is entering his eight season as a coach at the Junior High level.  He has been a critical member of NWL's coaching staff.    Coach Frisch is no stranger to Northwestern Lehigh.  He graduated from Northwestern in 1981 where he wrestled for nine years.  He was a member of the very impressive 1979 State Champion Wrestling Team.  Coach Frisch has spent many years coaching at the youth level.  He continued his education at Delaware Valley College where he graduated with a degree in Agronomy.  

 

Coach Frisch currently resides in New Tripoli and is married to his wife Kelly.  Coach Frisch has three children, Lucas, Jacqueline, and Sydney.


Mike Marich (Team Stats)

Mr. Marich will be entering his fifth season as a team statistician.  He has proven to be a crucial member to the NWL Coaching staff while providing data about the competition helping to ensure the best match-ups.  Mr. Marich's continued dedication to the program has been very generous and note worthy.   He is the father of wrestling alumni Ben Marich who graduated in 2007.  Ben is currently wrestling at Lehigh University and is one of three wresting alumni wrestling at a Division I  Program.  Mr. Marich was formally a NWL Wrestling Booster Club Officer.  The NWL staff appreciates Mike's continued dedication and on going involvement with the Tiger Wrestling Program!
