The 2007-2008 Individual Accomplishments A Wrestlers Point of View: “Why Formal Attire is Required for NWL Wrestling” Formal attire is the appropriate attire for all home and away matches.  What someone wears is a huge part of other people’s opinions about them.  The Northwestern Lehigh Wrestling program wants to be known as professional and of high standards.  Wearing jeans and a t-shirt would convey the wrong image to others; that image would be sloppy and unpolished.  At Northwestern Lehigh we are professional, so we want to look the part by wearing shirts, ties, and slacks.  We are about this sport and we want to show it by having a dignified appearance.  The clean appearance of our wrestlers shows their good character. Good character also comes from good behavior.  It would be wrong and out of line to ever curse or use other profane language.  It is important, in the Northwestern Lehigh Wrestling program; to have high standards for one’s self.  It is also important to show respected to all referees… The Northwestern Lehigh Wrestling program wants its wrestlers to be the best people they can be.  This is done by setting high standards of appearance and behavior.  It is expected by the coaching staff to show respect, and look professional… By: Steve Zandarski
